Welcome to our 2022 sponsor - Ze Build Sponsorship of local sports clubs and community organisations has been hit hard in 2020/2021, so when we were approached by Zane Dykman of local building company Ze Build, we were blown away by his generosity, community spirit and desire to get behind our vision for the club. With over a decade of experience in the building trade and residential construction, company owner and founder Zane Dykman created Ze Build to offer Aucklanders personalised, professional and quality building work. The Silverdale-based team offer a wide range of services to suit every project, including new build, extensions & renovations, outdoor landscaping, and plumbing & gas solutions. Zane grew up on the shore sailing for Westlake Boys and Wakatere (we won't hold that against him!) and now lives with his wife Chloe and two daughters in Manly. When not on a building site, he enjoys spending time down at the beach watching our club racing series. Although he is a self-confessed petrol head, i'm sure we will see Zane and his girls converted to wind power in no time at all! For those that know Zane, it will come as no surprise that he continues to get behind his local community, and we thank him and his team for providing the 'building blocks' for our club foundations as we continue to grow this year and beyond. |

COMMODORE'S MESSAGE
Manly Sailing Club is honoured to have Barry Thom as Commodore for another year. Barry has been coming to Manly Beach since he was five, and began sailing at the club at the age of 10 - needless to say the club and area have always been a big part of his life.
Having built a lifetime of family memories, I am excited to now be in a position to help foster that next generation of sailors and continue the strong sense of community created at Manly. The ease of access and brilliant sailing water offered by Manly Sailing Club has so many natural ingredients working for us.
We are increasingly being regarded as a club who has proven ourselves capable of running great events and are becoming increasingly in demand as a result. Notwithstanding this, the club still maintains its strong sense of community spirit, largely in part to due to the pride and commitment of our volunteers and families, who value the longevity of its legacy.
I am excited to be working with such passionate and talented people.
It's a good time to be part of the Manly team - we look forward to seeing you at the club over the coming season.

PRESIDENT's Message
Manly Sailing Club is fortunate to have the continued support of Russell Coutts as our club President. Russell is a Manly local and club stalwart and has helped to revitalise the junior sailing programme with the Russell Coutts Sailing Foundation
These are exciting times for the Manly Sailing Club
We have developed a very active calendar of events and activities, both racing and social, that should deliver incredible value and enjoyment to our members. We are planning and have already initiated many important upgrades to the clubs facilities where we are moving to make it a more family friendly environment that not only welcomes sailors but all people interested in or connected with water sports.
We have an enthusiastic, skillful and proactive group of volunteers and committee members who are working to improve all facets of the club. These efforts are already being recognised by others, where we have been selected to host both national and international events over the next two years. Our junior programme is going from strength to strength, growing at an amazing rate which should translate into healthy membership numbers in the future.
