learn to sail
Our Learn to Sail and Junior Sailing programmes operate in conjunction with the Russell Coutts Sailing Foundation.
For the 2017 / 2018 season, we are delighted to welcome Aaron Hume-Merry as our new Head Coach of the RCSF youth programme. Aaron brings a wealth of coaching experience and will direct all coaching activities at the club, building on the already successful junior programme which was revamped in 2016.
Manly has been selected to host the 2019 O’pen Bic World Championships, which should provide additional stimulus for our junior sailors. Aaron also plans to introduce new courses for school programmes and adult sailing and he will be supported by a top team of coaches and advisors including Harold Bennett, Russell Coutts, Hayden Whitburn, Barry Thom and more...

COMMODORE'S MESSAGE
Manly Sailing Club is honoured to welcome Russell Coutts as our new Commodore. Russell is a Manly local and club stalwart and has already helped to revitalise the junior sailing programme with the Russell Coutts Sailing Foundation
These are exciting times for the Manly Sailing Club.
We have developed a very active calendar of events and activities, both racing and social, that should deliver incredible value and enjoyment to our members. We are planning and have already initiated many important upgrades to the clubs facilities where we are moving to make it a more family friendly environment that not only welcomes sailors but all people interested in or connected with water sports.
We have an enthusiastic, skillful and proactive group of volunteers and committee members who are working to improve all facets of the club. These efforts are already being recognised by others, where we have been selected to host both national and international events over the next two years. Our junior programme is going from strength to strength, growing at an amazing rate which should translate into healthy membership numbers in the future.
It's a good time to be part of the Manly team. We look forward to seeing you at the club over the coming season
